Roel Bol (1950) has joined Dröge & van Drimmelen in February 2016 as an associated partner. Within the federal government, he has a long record of service concerning the fields of national health, environment, agriculture and economics. For the greater part of his career he was employed at the Ministry of Agriculture. Here he held office in several positions as a director, including those of director Ministers Office, director of Fisheries and director of Industry and Trade.
Roel has focused on the relationship between business and the government, with a special emphasis on themes like innovation, sustainability and strengthening (international) competitive power. Thanks to his extensive network of people within the business community, government authorities, scientists and NGO’s, Roel has been promoting the transition towards a biobased economy for the past ten years.
Next to his experience in The Hague, Roel has acquired great knowledge about working within the context of the European Union and in bilateral relations with Third World countries. He has lead trade missions towards countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America numerous times.
